Auburn Alabama Missed Field Goal Tecmo Super Bowl Video
The play everyone is talking about, Auburn returning a missed field goal for a game winning touchdown in the Iron Bowl game against Alabama, has gotten the Tecmo Super Bowl Treatment. And it’s pretty great.
For those too young to remember, Tecmo Super Bowl is a Nintendo video game released in 1991. It was the first video game that had licensing not only from the NFL itself, but also the National Football League Players Association. This allowed them to use both real players and their corresponding team names, as opposed to just one or the other like in the past.
The above video comes courtesy of Tecmo Super Bowl fan site – yes, one exists – TecmoBowl.org. Contrast it with the actual Iron Bowl game footage below, and then check out some awesome fan reactions in the video beneath that.
The Auburn Alabama Iron Bowl game is sure to go down in college sports history. This pop culture interest and the viral nature of the reaction videos attests to that fact.
