Actress Leah Remini is opening up about leaving the Church of Scientology. Speaking to ABC News, she lays out how powerful Tom Cruise is within the organization. This is a fact that has been understood to be true for some time by those critical of Scientology, but to have someone of Remini’s stature speaking out is still something that must be upsetting to the group.
They have responded in their typical strike back style, claiming Remini is self involved and that her criticisms are not valid, and to be expected from someone with her personality type.
This is the latest knock against the Church of Scientology, which was the subject of the HBO documentary Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief.Â
