Saturday Night Live has once again nailed the current political moment, this time showing how Democrats are feeling heading into Election Day on Tuesday.
Progressives are hoping the blue wave will bring the House back to Democratic control, as the polls have suggested. But as 2016 taught the country, you can never be too trusting of polling. Both sides are taking this election seriously, with turnout higher than the typical midterm elections.
Both sides see it as a referendum on President Trump, and if Republicans are able to maintain control of both the House and Senate it will be at least another two years of complete GOP control.
The “ad” spoofs get out the vote videos, and ends by asking the viewer to vote for the Democrats on November 6.
